Queen, the legendary band fronted by the dynamic Freddie Mercury before his death in 1991, have been making music together since the 70s and have now joined forces with writer Ben Elton to bring their unique sound to theatreland. In the Queen song-fest, the action takes place in a futuristic world where rock music is banned. Christopher Renshaw, who brings a worthy list of credentials including The King And I at the Palladium and the more recent and hugely popular Taboo, directs.

Driving through our financial centre we will learn about the Great Fire of 1666 and the Blitz of 1940-41, we see the Bank of England and the home of the Lord Mayor, The Mansion House.
St. Paul's Cathedral
We arrive at Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece and the scene of Lady Diana's wedding to Prince Charles. The present building, completed in 1708, replaced the medieval Cathedral destroyed in the Great Fire of London. There will be time to enjoy the piazza restaurants and shops.
The interior, with its glittering mosaics, intricate stone carving, and breathtaking vantage points, are just a few reasons why a visit to St Paul's Cathedral is a must. The American Memorial Chapel stands behind the High Altar, and Jean Tijou's beautiful wrought iron gates of 1700 separate the quire from the ambulatory.
EXCLUSIVELY for Golden Tours clients we will be able to enter the Quire which is not open to the general public to see the beautiful mosaics.
The Tower of London & Crown Jewels
During its 1000-year history this impressive fortress has been a royal palace, prison, mint and zoo. It has seen three Queens of England beheaded, and the torture of numerous prisoners, stretched on the rack and crushed in the Scavenger's Daughter. We will also see the famous Crown Jewels including the dazzling Cullinan diamonds and the exquisite Koh-i-Noor, ,as well as the Bloody Tower, Traitors' Gate, the Royal Chapel and the White Tower, built by King William the Conqueror in 1078.
Cruise on the River Thames
We end in spectacular style with a wonderful river cruise enjoying superb views of Tower Bridge, London Bridge, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare's Globe theatre, the Tate Modern and much more.

Keukenhof in The Netherlands is a fantastic place to visit. It's open from March to May. From the UK fly to Amsterdram IEasyjet are best value). You will find a lot of coach trips going there from UK, but not worth it. There are shuttle buses from the airport for 6 euros. You can see it all in 2 days but 3 if you want to be a bit more relaxed. One day you can hire bikes and cycle around the bulb fields. Best plan is to get to the park when it opens at 8.00 am and you will get a couple of hours to see everything in peace before the coaches arrive. There are a couple of hotels in Lisse which are walking distance to the park. Don't forget your camera.
You won't be disappointed even if you don't like gardening.
