With these Words. The word of God is powerful and everlasting. Sometimes they cut to the marrow of the bone, convicting those that are lost and seeking their salvation threw faith. But we must talk about the words of comfort that must come to all in the end days of lives that we cherish. “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” Comfort; To strengthen the mind when depressed or enfeebled; to console; to give new vigor to the spirits; to cheer, or relieve from depression, or trouble. When we lose a loved one, we see a mild depression come forth, leaving a hole within our hearts that must be replaced with hope of the rejoining and the re-establishment of contact, with those that have gone before. The Bible tells us that, we do not know what we shall look like but we know that we shall appear as Christ is. In the past few years, I have lost a mother, father, uncle and aunt, all with the grieving process taking place. My mother passed away last, leaving me with another hole in my heart. This was heartbreaking to say the least. A minister told me that we shall all come together again in the resurrection of the dead, at the time of the rapture of the church. I hadn't forgotten this from my studies, but it was good to be reminded by a man that also loves the Lord. These words are more comforting than any that could be said at a time of grief and despair, “and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” What a thought and a promise, to ever be with the Lord, never again to be separated from Him and His love. Never again to be separated from those that we love and cherish. Never again having to visit a grave yard, a funeral, or a hospital, where I have be in attendance of the death of both mother and father. Never again to see the last breath, the last heartbeat, of a loved one come and go. To ever be with the Lord, seeing those things that the Lord has prepared for His children. To ever be with the Lord, never having to suffer pain, sorrow, no more hunger, no more fear, to ever be with the one that died for us. We will never suffer the sting of death, never again will we be put into a grave, never again to be seen, never again will we be just a memory, just a pitcher in a frame to remind some one that we were here. “And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.” We, who believe in the Lord, are not soon shaken by those that hate the word of the Lord, we are not soon shaken by the death of a loved one, for we know that our Redeemer lives, we shall cry and weep, but those that believe in the Lord weep with us, and we shall soon be with Him, to ever be with the Lord in paradise. Streets made of pure gold, where the river of life flows from the throne of God, the tree of life with different fruits ever growing, ever alive. “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Comfort each with these words, not words of death, but of life. Speak not one to another of hate, but rather of the love the Lord has shown to us. Speak not one to another of despair, but only of hope. Speak not one to another of fear, but only of being over-comers by the word of the Lord. For the just shall surly live by faith, by hope of the resurrection, by being able to speak Abba , Father. Speak not one to another of confusion, but rather of a more sure word of prophecy that we have received freely from the Holy Spirit of God, who is our comfort and help in times of need. Speak not one to another of poverty, but rather of being presented to the Lord as kings and priest, of a crown of righteousness being laid up for each that endures into the end. Speak not one to another of things that those without hope speak of, for our hope lies within us. Ars. Webster,TSK. 1Th 4:17-18 Heb 12:27-29 Rev 22:2
