Persecution guaranteed.
When a time falls upon all men, it shall fall without being discriminatory or without prejudice. In these end days we see the persecution not only of those that follow after the teachings of Christ, but also the blatant persecution of Gods word. For as the sun rises and falls, Gods word offends all that are following after iniquity. Men hate the word of God, and those that are believers in it. For without the word of God, men would not know the difference between good nor evil.
There are many recorded instances of persecution of the Christian community. A preacher was arrested for preaching the gospel to a group of homosexuals, another was arrested for passing out Bible tracts to Muslims, another was murdered for preaching that Jesus was, and still is, the Son of God, Christian homes are being burnt down, churches are being destroyed and their congregations are being beaten and killed for their assembling to worship God.
“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”
The hatred that we are seeing should be nothing new to us, for we all have been warned before hand that these things will happen. The thing that we must remember is that, the Lord knows our persecution and those that are persecuting us. He knows our lives are in danger, but reminds us that He will never leave us, nor will He forsake us. Many who believe in Jesus will be killed for His name sake, but we are told not to fear.
“In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.”
The word of God applies to those that will believe in it, also to those that will not believe. If we are to be judged, the judgment should be a sound judgment based upon sound doctrine and righteousness. The only words that adhere to both of these things, is the word of God.
Those that persecute the believers in Christ shall be judged by these words, convicted by these words and also sentenced by them. They should be ashamed by the truth of Gods words so they can repent of their iniquities.
In doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, and sincerity, are the definitions only of Gods word. Many follow after false gods, false religions and false doctrines, these have no uncorruptness, for they are corrupt in their dealings with those that oppose their teachings, they show no gravity, for they do not emphasize the importance of repentance of sin, and they show no sincerity in their approach to allowing others the freedom of choice.
The Lord Jesus, told all that we should not try to separate men with iniquity who are among us, but that He would seperate them at the time of the end. He will gather them together to be burnt. For He knew that there would be wolves among the flock, those that bring in damnable heresies and false doctrines, lieing in wait to pounce upon the weak and unlearned. He knew that we would be assulted by false doctrines and by men who would not spair our lives, because their religions dictate the death of all that would not bow down to their idols and gods. Jesus knew of governments that would try to impose false religions upon the faithful, seeking all to accept unrightious behaviour as an alternitive method of liveing.
We see the governments of the world today making laws that justify unrightiousness, making the Gospel of Jesus Christ of none affect, and making the comandments of God unlawful. For what the Lord has declaired an abomination, mankind has made natural, they shall be judged. We see many that say they are believers in Christ, even denighing Him before the world, saying only that they believe in Gods acceptance of unrighteous behavior.
“Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.”
We are not to fear the thought of fear itself, but to accept it as a result of our faith in Jesus Christ. Fear can only harm if it is accepted, thought upon constantly, and reverenced. Fear is a spirit, not from God, but from Satan. There is no fear in any who believe in the Lord, for fear is not of God. Fear torments and destroyes all that cannot control it. Fear is controled by our involking the word of God against it. When we finally accept our state that we are only alive by the will of God, and that our days are numbered by Him, and Him alone, fear cannot harm us.
The desolation of the wicked shall come. We shall not fear the things that shall come down upon them, famine, deasese, pestulance, thirst and war, these things have come, and shall continue to come, untill the Lord Jesus returns. Many blame these things upon natural situations, they denigh the fact that God has prophecied these things thosuands of years ago. many denigh the truth and would rather believe that these things are natural occurances.
Many blame these things upon the Christian community, for as it is written, “And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.”(For these prophets were murdered by them.)
“For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.” We are to fear not what man can do to us, for only through the acceptance of fear can anyone control us. We are the property of the Lord, we are His children, an heir and a joint heir to the kingdom of Heavan with the Lord Jesus. What have we to fear of those that percecute us? Shall we toss away our confidence in the Lord?
